Clayscapes
   
   

Each of these Clayscapes is made of flattened layers of clay, placed in the lids of pickle jars. Each one is about 3.5" wide.

In summer mornings, the sun is just burning away the night's fog, and the light is almost fragile, like eggshell. There is a tranquility to quiet, summer mornings.

Everything falls asleep during summer afternoons- birds, bugs, even the breeze. It is hot, unending, unforgiving, bakes the sidewalks to blistering, shimmering temperatures.

Summer: Sundown
The nights of summer are rarely cold. Heat pulses from the streets, and the chitchat of crickets is drowned in music, in porchstep conversations. Summer nights in the city are tantalizing promises of fun, but don't get there before the sun sets!
