Llama Llama Knit

My friends Alec and Marie (along with Alec's mother, Candice) are the owners of Llama Llama Knit, a yarn/knitting shop in downtown Novato, CA. I made for them this knitting llama. Seemed appropriate.

Llamas are strange critters.

Seriously, they're weird. You can tell how irritated a llama is by the contents of its spit. Llamas have three stomachs, and a more agitated llama will pull spit from a lower stomach compartment.

Llamas use spitting to punish herd members who are lower on the social ladder. They also neck wrestle. Some llamas are used as guards for herds of sheep.

Llama Llama Knit is only about so big, but I still would not want to neck wrestle with him.
